Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Hilton Luxor has decided to use energy saving lights which is one of the important eco-friendly initiatives taken by the hotel. It also uses solar energy for hot water. In addition to the automatic system that shuts down air-conditions, lights and everything shut down ten minutes after the guest checks out of the room.
The hotel also installed a ground pump to collect ground water for watering the hotel gardens in addition to water saving devices in showers to help reduce water usage.
